America's Heroes Ceremony |
|
Woodmen of the World, Lodge #6, will salute America’s Heroes with an 9-11 Ceremony “In Honor and Remembrance” Program on Tuesday, September 11th at 5:00 pm at the Hot Stove Sports Complex in Potomac Park near the Allegany County Fair Grounds. Three flag poles and flags will be dedicated and flags will be raised by the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 172, Color Guard
Public is welcome and encouraged to support this dedication

9/11 Service |

The Oldtown Volunteer Fire Department, along with the Oldtown Bethel Assembly of God, Oldtown United Methodist Charge, Oldtown Baptist Church and Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church, will hold their annual 9/11 Memorial Service on Tuesday, September 11 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Bethel Assembly of God, located on Rt 51. The program is open to all members of the areas Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement community as well as the general public. Following the service, light refreshments will be served in the Church's Social Hall. |

Lady of The Mountains Parish Afternoon Tea |

Our Lady of The Mountains Parish will hold an afternoon tea on Sunday Sept. 16 from 2-4 at Saint Mary's Church Hall on Oldtown Rd. In Cumberland. Tickets are $10 and available by calling: 301-777-1750. No tickets will be sold at the door. |
