Midland Methodist Church will sponsor its annual pancake and buckwheat breakfast Sat., November 10th. The event will be held at the Midland Fire Hall from 7:00 to 11:00 am. The menu includes pancakes/buckwheats, sausage, sausage gravy, homefries, coffee and orange juice. The public is invited and takeout will be available. |

Rethink Recycling Sculpture Contest |

Please join the Garrett County Department of Solid Waste & Recycling and the Garrett County Art’s Council on Saturday, November 10, 2012, for the 8th Annual “Rethink Recycling” Sculpture Contest from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., at the Garrett College Gymnasium, McHenry, Maryland 21541. Judging will begin at Noon. Garrett County residents are encouraged to attend this free event. Light fare and beverages will be served.

CFBC (Citizens For a Better Community Corp) will be holding a dance on Saturday November 10th, 2012 from 9pm-1am at the Keyser VFW. Proceeds will help the CFBC with things such as the HAND Program (Help for Aging, Needy & Disabled). DJ music will be provided and Karaoke will also be available. The donation required at the door is $3 per person or $5 per couple. Have a great time while supporting a worthy cause! |
