The Allegany Soil Conservation District is now taking orders for its 2013 tree & seedling sale. Order forms can be obtained at the District office, 12407 Naves Cross Road, Cumberland. All orders are pre-paid and the deadline for orders & payment is March 8, 2013. Read Across Maryland Book Drive |

Read across Maryland Month is an initiative that is focused on improving literacy and instilling a love of reading amongst all Maryland children.
Last year, 13,000 books were collected!
Here’s what you have to do:
• Purchase a NEW children's book and bring it to the MVA, 13300 Winchester Road, Cumberland, MD 21502 and there will be a box in the branch lobby for the collection of NEW children’s books. |

Frostburg Knights of Columbus Council No. 1442 - Fish Dinners every Friday during the Lenten Season, 4:00 to 7:00 pm in St. Michael's Cafeteria located at 44 E. Main Street in Frostburg. Takeouts are available starting at 3:00 pm.
The menu consists of Baked or Fried Fish, French Fries, Macaroni and Cheese, Stewed Tomatoes, Apple Sauce, Cole Slaw, Roll, dessert and drinks. The price is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12 years of age.
Also, in support the Frostburg Food Pantry, we encorage patrons of these events to donate non-perishable food products. A collection box will be available as you check in. |
