Caught up on all your summer reading? In an exclusive interview, Brad Paisley says he dedicated summer 2014 to making himself an open book with the Moonshine in the Trunk web leaks, commitments to ABC’s Rising Star and shenanigans on the Country Nation tour. Brad Paisley says he wanted to connect with fans on a deeper level. “It’s been a summer of really sort of being hands-on with how I present myself and how I reach people whether that be shaking hands with soldiers in Afghanistan which is sort of the way summer started for me on Memorial Day, all the way through to being on Rising Star and all the way through the leaking, and a selfie with Westboro Baptist, I think people have gotten to know me better to know me this summer than they have in maybe a decade.” Moonshine in the Trunk is available now. Brad hits ABC’s The View and Good Morning America this morning.
He’s jumped out of a plane for “Don’t Ya” and swam with sharks for “Beat of the Music.” But was Brett Eldredge always a daredevil? Before Wednesday’s number-one party for “Beat of the Music,” Brett admitted he’s new to being a adrenaline junkie. He can even remember a time when he was too chicken to look down in the water on his first snorkeling trip. He recalls, “I jumped in the water and I said, ‘Mom, mom, mom, mom, I can’t look down … there’s no way I’m looking down.’ A guy had to drag me in a gigantic Life Saver that you can’t eat."
Brett Eldredge says he’s happy to put his fraidy-cat past behind him. “When I jumped out of that plane, I never felt more alive because I felt like it could be taken away any second. So, I’m like, I’ve never felt that alive in my life because it was so crazy -- same things with sharks. It was like, ‘I am in someone else’s world right now.’ And it’s the most biggest rush in the world. And now I’ve kind of became an adrenaline junkie.”
