BRANTLEY GILBERT: Keith Urban Supported Brantley in His Fight for Sobriety

Keith Urban was there for Brantley Gilbert when Brantley needed it most. After battling a serious drinking addiction, Brantley sought professional help in December 2011 to cut booze entirely out of his life, and Keith was among the industry friends who visited him in the hospital.  Brantley says, “I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do my job because I had always had a little bit of a buzz on. Keith told me I was going to be alright.”  Support from fans on social media also goes a long way for Brantley.  Brantley Gilbert says he considers his followers friends.  “When I think about a friend, I think about somebody that supports you. These people are on social media -- 24 hours a day some of them -- and they’re giving us feedback, which is priceless. You can’t put a price tag on that. That’s support.”

BILLY CURRINGTON: Surf's Up!

Billy Currington works hard and plays hard -- especially when it comes to his favorite hobby -- surfing. And when it comes to catching the best waves, he knows exactly where to go.   "I'm looking forward to going to Indonesia soon. I don't know when, but I've had that on the top of my list. I've been to Hawaii quite a bit and I still go, but all the Hawaiians tell me about the surf over in Indonesia. And I want to go over there with them."  Billy is at work on his sixth studio album, but a quick look at his touring schedule shows that he has plenty of time to take that surf trip this winter.

Dierks Has A Time Machine

Dierks Bentley got his pilots license in 1997 and he flies himself to most of his shows in a small plane and says, “you basically get an extra 12 hours with family which is a long time when you've got three kids.” Dierks calls his plane ‘The Time Machine’ because it buys him more family time.

LITTLE BIG TOWN: Jimi Outed as an Ugly Crier

Jimi Westbrook of Little Big Town wants a do-over of the night Reba McEntire invited them to join the Grand Ole Opry. If he could relive the night, he says, he’d bawl his eyes out.  Scanning pictures from the event, Jimi Westbrook says he’s not a fan of his “ugly cry face.”

Jimi: “I had some really ugly like trying to hold cry back faces you know those faces where you’re just kind of [makes a crying noise] trying to hold it back and they are hideous. Just terrible!”

Kimberly: “You should have just cried?”

Jimi: “I should have just let it go.”

Karen: “Yeah there’s pretty cries and there’s ugly cries.”

Jimi: “I’m an ugly crier.”

Little Big Town will be back at the Grand Ole Opry Tuesday. The Pain Killer tour continues Friday in Knoxville, Tennessee with Brett Eldredge and Brothers Osborne.
