Caught up on all your summer reading? In an exclusive interview, Brad Paisley says he dedicated summer 2014 to making himself an open book with the Moonshine in the Trunk web leaks, commitments to ABC’s Rising Star and shenanigans on the Country Nation tour.  Brad Paisley says he wanted to connect with fans on a deeper level.  “It’s been a summer of really sort of being hands-on with how I present myself and how I reach people whether that be shaking hands with soldiers in Afghanistan which is sort of the way summer started for me on Memorial Day, all the way through to being on Rising Star and all the way through the leaking, and a selfie with Westboro Baptist, I think people have gotten to know me better to know me this summer than they have in maybe a decade.”  Moonshine in the Trunk is available now. Brad hits ABC’s The View and Good Morning America this morning.

According to insiders, the first single Garth was going to release, 'Tacoma’ has been changed to, 'People Loving People.’ It should be out the first week of September and the guy who wrote its written hits for Keith Urban, Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean.

He’s jumped out of a plane for “Don’t Ya” and swam with sharks for “Beat of the Music.” But was Brett Eldredge always a daredevil? Before Wednesday’s number-one party for “Beat of the Music,” Brett admitted he’s new to being a adrenaline junkie.  He can even remember a time when he was too chicken to look down in the water on his first snorkeling trip. He recalls, “I jumped in the water and I said, ‘Mom, mom, mom, mom, I can’t look down … there’s no way I’m looking down.’ A guy had to drag me in a gigantic Life Saver that you can’t eat."

Brett Eldredge says he’s happy to put his fraidy-cat past behind him.  “When I jumped out of that plane, I never felt more alive because I felt like it could be taken away any second. So, I’m like, I’ve never felt that alive in my life because it was so crazy -- same things with sharks. It was like, ‘I am in someone else’s world right now.’ And it’s the most biggest rush in the world. And now I’ve kind of became an adrenaline junkie.”

It’s a mountain of cheesy chili goodness and Tim McGraw can’t get enough of it during football season. It’s Frito Pie, and it’s a weekend staple for football marathons at the McGraw house.  Tim McGraw says one can never have enough Frito Pie during football season.  “Some of our favorite things that we have during football season is Frito pies. Most people, I guess, especially if you’re a southerner, are familiar with Frito pies where we just have Fritos, cheese and chili. We eat a lotta that on weekends. That just calls for extra workouts during the week.”

Tim is back on the road this weekend for three nights in Newfoundland, Canada. His next album, Sundown Heaven Town, lands September 16th.

Rumors are circulating that Carrie Underwood may be the halftime performer at next years Super Bowl. A sports blog says the performer already has serious ties to the NFL, we know she sings the theme song, and insiders say it’s most likely her.

Taylor Swift enjoyed a drama-free Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. Looking fabulous in a green two-piece crop top outfit, T was on hand to present the Choice Actor in a Drama Movie award -- which gave her a chance to poke fun at her exes before handing the winning surfboard over to The Fault in Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort.

She said, “You know we’ve had some amazing memories here together at the Teen Choice Awards. And so, I was excited when they asked me to come and present this award, because no one knows more about dramatic males than I do.”

Back in 2006, Taylor Swift joked her self-titled debut album made her sound like a serial dater.   “You listen to my album, it sounds like I had 500 boyfriends. Honestly, I really wasn’t like that. I’m very independent. But my friends have had 500 boyfriends. So, you know, you can kind of write about things that other people are going through as well.”  Taylor brought on the drama last week with a series of clues, hinting at an August 18th Web announcement at 5 p.m. on Yahoo! Taylor made the date official  yesterday morning.

Brad Paisley is getting serious about the new bar at his home studio just south of Nashville. He tells People, "I'm going to go to bartending school. We've built a bar in the studio house on my farm and I need to know how to work it."

Brad took on the home improvement project as a toast to all those honkytonks he played before he got famous. He says, "I grew up playing bars as a teenager. We'd end at two a.m. and when I'd go back in the morning to pack everything up, it would be that stale smoke and beer thing -- the evidence of a great time. I wanted that in my studio."

Bodies of water around Nashville were also cheap thrills for Brad before he made it big.

Brad Paisley says the Cumberland River and Percy Priest Lake were his go-to places for cheap enterainment.  "I didn't have two dimes to scrape together but I had a friend with a bass boat and we would meet up every day that was nice buy any kind of tackle we could afford and just head up to either the Cumberland River or Percy Priest. But it was the release for me. I would work all the time, write songs all the time, and then I'd go to the river."

Carrie Underwood stopped traffic yesterday to help an injured bird. Her hubby pulled over so she could grab it. Carrie said, “sorry to those who had to deal with a crazy lady chasing a bird in the turn lane!" She later turned it over to a wildlife rehab center near Nashville.

Starting today , Jo Dee Messina is on a mission to get fit by Labor Day with the help of Beachbody’s new 21 Day Fix. The social media guru and mom of two has also invited fans to join the challenge. Those who sign up will be able to update one another on their progress in a private message board with helpful tips, advice and recipes. Within 24 hours of announcing the plan, Jo Dee had added 275 members to her team.  She says, “I’ve always been a runner, but the 21 Day Fix includes workouts, food plans and a team of amazing people to get in shape with. I’m so looking forward to…working with the fans who have signed up to be a part of this with me.”  “I mean, there were days I would get up at five o’clock in the morning or four o’clock in the morning to run 18 miles or 15 miles before the sun came up because once the sun came up in Oklahoma in August, you’re dead. It was like 103 degrees.”

Little Big Town has a candidate for the next Disney princess. The “Day Drinking” foursome proudly nominate bandmate Kimberly Schlapman.
